This mag release is awesome. The aluminum blends in so well that my friend thought it was plastic. I have small/medium hands so when dumping a mag, I had to pivot my Gen4 G17 in my hand to depress the mag release. With this extended release, I just have to extend my thumb slightly. It really helps when practicing speed reloads. I would have given it 5 stars except for two minor things ]probably more personal preference[: 1 - the extension comes out quite a bit...maybe 5mm which seems like a lot. I find myself cautious not to hit it when gripping with my support hand or trying to be aware of holster clearance. So far no issues, but it was a concern. 2 - on the side that protrudes out, the front is curved which is nice, but the back side is very squared off with sharp edges. It would be nice if they had taken the corners down slightly. Other than that, it''''s an excellent piece. The anodizing is perfect and it went in without a hitch.
